Cherry Beams

American Cherry carries a light red to dark reddish brown color with a straight and mild grain. The grain is similar to Walnut but more pronounced and longer. Cherry is a dense, moderately strong hardwood with excellent wearing qualities. It is very workable and excellent for mortising and is known for its superior atmospheric-moisture resistance qualities, shrinking and swelling less and holding finish better than any other wood.
